A SINGLE OBJECTIVE: TO TRAIN
GED’s objectives
Helping the Northern Haiti region to intellectually and materially develop by:
- Training women and young ladies in health improvement for all
- Feeding the young populations
- Giving access to apprenticeship
- Giving young adults and adults the necessary know-hows to access jobs, develop micro companies and create minimal revenues.
A sustainable development
- Better management of the region’s resources using durable development methods for today and tomorrow.
- Giving populations the right tools to develop bio-diversity and organic productions.

Why the Northern Haiti region?
Simply because this region has been left aside for too long by international help which mainly goes to the capital of PORT AU PRINCE, the center and the South of the country. This is essentially due to the high difficulties to access the Northern lands.
But unless everyone else, GED found a great interest in this Northern region: rich soils. Unfortunately, this area is very undeveloped, economically very poor and receives almost no international help.
That is why GREEN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT chose to bring support to this unfortunate and forgotten population.

GED’s founders
We are entrepreneurs and assume using that special skill for all of our projects.
We believe in economy as a force for development.
This economic development can only be possible if we deliver the right training for people to understand and use techniques and tools that are brought to them.
We especially are convinced that all development can only be sustainable with respect of the environment and populations.
All of our projects are selected based on simple guidelines: economic development, trainings and respect.

GED's different partners
In HAITI
The Compagnie du Développement des Caraïbes (CDC) in Limbé, engaged in a very strong partnership with the association Green Economic Development-Haïti:
- CDC offers free offices and administrative staff.
- CDC offers 10% of the agricultural productions directly coming from their own farm in Limbé in order to feed the community children and offers material means to start training workshops and the Fablabs.
- CDC promised to buy a part of local farmers' harvest (cacao, etc...) and to support the local development of subcontractors.
- CDC promised to develop activities using sustainable resources such as the manufacture of bricks in compressed earth, the use of green waste to manufacture briquettes for fire, etc...
Mayors from the cities of LIMBE, BAS LIMBE, PORT MARGOT, CAP HAITIEN, are part of the directors board of the association. They make sure on field goals are achieved and give as much assistance as possible (mainly administrative) to support the projects.
Other companies like UNIBANK joined GED; other local companies and organizations are expected to join in a short time as well.
In EUROPE and in Italy:
The Compagnie du Développement des Caraïbes, who has its headquarters in Bruxelles, supports this project since the beginning. Products have already been shipped to LIMBE in order to face emergency and will continue to financially support projects.
In Italy, companies, organizations and individuals join as well to collect materials, supplies, etc..
A network of correspondents then collects these donations and ship them to Haiti.
Projects are supported by their regions, counties, and cities like Paris, but also by corporations' foundations, according to their sources.
The FAO, the IMF, the European Bank, and the World Bank will also be partners of different operations according to their own specificity.
